The duties of the Superintendent include but are not limited to the following items and physical requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage effectively and professionally the day-day activities on the construction projects utilizing up to three superintendents.
Understand full scope of work and prepare/maintain schedules and high-quality standards.
Interpretation and implementation of site plans/contract documents to ensure that construction follows plan/scope, scheduling and milestones monitoring, cost/change order awareness, document management.
Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
Create a zero-tolerance safety culture.
Perform close-out process and ensure punch list is completed in a timely manner and to the clients’ satisfaction.
Maintain all required paperwork for responsible work sites
Skilled in the use of personnel and equipment in the infrastructure segment.
Considerable knowledge of occupational hazards and safe work practices.
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Project Scheduling preferred)
Strong Leadership and Excellent communication skills.
Highly organized with great attention to detail.
Minimum of 15+ years in infrastructure construction with 7 years in a successful supervisory capacity.
Proven leadership track record.
Experience managing projects from $1MM - $20MM.
Experience preparing technical memos, project reports, and other documentation as required.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass background check for access to certain restricted project sites.
OSHA 30 is a plus.
